FRIGHTMARES!!! 2010

I finally got the opportunity to enjoy Frightmares with my family on Friday night.  We headed out early so we would be there right as it opened.  Of course, there was an accident on Highway 89, which slowed our progress.  We pulled into Lagoon just as they were letting people into the park.

We headed immediately for the kids Spook a Boo, because experience has taught us that the line quickly lengthens into hours long...(ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration, except when you're in line with little kids, even 30 minutes seems like an eternity).  Talia loved it...

And on the Skyride!
We met up again to hit the haunts.
We went through 2 of the "scarier" haunts.  Yes, with all the kids.  With Cole's Halloween obsession, my kids don't fear things the way normal kids do, and they enjoy being scared.  So we went through "Lockdown", which was a pretty demented prison, and Deception, which was a dark and scary maze.  Alec would not let go of my hand during Lockdown, and Talia insisted I carry her through Deception, but they always want to go again when we're done.

After that, we took a break to get some treats...

I consoled myself from missing a certain amazing woman's cupcakes with a huge, warm, melty cinnamon roll...

We tried to catch the Monster Mash show, but we kept missing it.  We went on a couple more rides, and decided it was time to go...

We had a good time, and are already planning our next trip back!

Merrill took the older two there on Friday also. They got chased by the chainsaw guy in one of the attractions, but thought it was awesome!
I still have some cupcakes... ;)
