Where did my week go?

So, it's been more than a week since I  posted.  It seems surreal...as I look back on the week, it almost seems like a "black hole"...where did the days go?

I worked on Monday and Tuesday, so that's where that time went.  Wednesday I had to go in to staff meeting, which always seems to me like an incredible time drain.  I had plans on Thursday to help my mom take my grandparents to Salt Lake, but on Tuesday night, I was just paging through the schedule book, and realized I had done something really ditzy...I had forgotton about my on call shift...again.  Luckily, I was able to find someone to cover (thanks, Cheryl!!!!) so I could help my mom....

My grandfather has Multiple Sclerosis, and has limited mobility.  My Grandmother can still get him out to a lot of places, but a day trip to Salt Lake to go shopping is not something she could do on her own...between the car ride, the wheelchair, and the limits of the disease, she needed help.  My mom was off work for "Fall Break", so it was a perfect day to go down to Fashion Place.  My Grans had gift certificates for Nordstrom she needed to use.

We headed out Thursday morning.  I love shopping at Nordstrom, although a lot of it ends up being window shopping...unless I can find a good deal.  I have to really, really, REALLY love something to pay Nordstrom's prices...but honestly, you can't beat their customer service.  I spent about 30 minutes helping my Grans fix an issue, and they were absolutely WONDERFUL.
As we were shopping, I managed to talk my mom into buying a couple of really cute things (she doesn't like to shop on her own) and I found an absolutely DARLING hat for this winter (pics to come later).  I spent some time in the little girls department, looking for a special Christmas dress for my princess.  It seemed like everything I found that I liked was not in her size.  **Side note, I also spent some time mourning that my daughter has grown so tall, I can't shop in the baby/toddler department anymore...she skipped a whole size this summer, from 3t to real 4's...it's a little sad. **  I did see a dress I LOVED for her...but it was in the baby department, and only went up to 3t.

We took a break to have lunch at Nordstrom's cafe.  My grandparents treated us, and it was delicious!  Heidi and Adam met us for lunch, and brought baby Logan.  I was able to cuddle him for awhile, and got a few good pics of my handsome new nephew...

Holding him is still the next best thing to holding my own babies....
After lunch, we headed out into the mall...I was in heaven in the Bare Escentuals store.  I bought some things that can't be found up here in Ogden...I love their makeup!!!
When we were done in the mall, we headed back to Nordstrom to finish up.  Browsing a rack I had browsed before, I was surprised and excited to see the dress I wanted for Talia...the only one in the children's department, and in her size!  Now I just have to find the boys Christmas clothes...

Friday we all had the day off.  We decided we'd get all our chores done in the morning, so we could head out to Frightmares in the afternoon.  We knew it would be packed because of UEA/Fall Break, but we didn't care.  We picked up Subway's for dinner, and headed to Lagoon....

My children were kind enough to pose for some cute face shots...

Pioneer Village was open for one last weekend.  My 3 boys decided to ride Rattlesnake Rapids...then were surprised to be wet and cold when the sun went down!!!  Kyle had a hoodie in the car, but Alec had only brought a jean jacket, and Cole hadn't brought a jacket at all, so we searched Lagoon's sale racks for a couple of warmer shirts for Cole and Alec...

My kids went together on the Terroride...

(that meant that Cole and I got to ride it by ourselves...and channel our younger, dating days.. ;))

On Sunday, Heidi and Adam blessed Logan.  I was able to go down for the actual blessing, but had to leave early to get back to work.  I was grateful just to be able to attend the blessing, and to get a couple of cute pics of him in his first important white outfit...

I LOVE his little outfit!!!!

So that was the basics of last week.  Seems like we did a lot, even though I felt like it was a "black hole"...

Sounds like a fun and busy week. Logan looks cute! And now I know what you would look like with darker hair. ;)

I feel like that about the whole last year.. where did it go, and all the time I thought I would have? Merrill and I were on a date at Lagoon on Thursday, but he was unwilling to channel our dating days. ;)
