Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo

My Grandfather was the Grand Marshall of the Ogden Pioneer Days this year.  We were so proud of him!  He was able to get some pretty good Rodeo tickets for all the nights of the rodeo, and I was so excited when my Grandma offered me the tickets for Thursday night.  I always loved the rodeo, and I wanted to share it with my kids.  Cole was still out of town for work, so the four of us headed to downtown Ogden...

The kids loved getting balloons from one of the candidates for mayor...Kyle and Alec promptly let go to watch them sail away, but Talia kept hers.

It was a fun night.  I had a great time, Kyle had a great time, and Talia did really well for her age.  She got bored on and off, but mostly enjoyed it.  Alec, however, hated it.  He complained the entire time, and went on a little tirade as we left about how it was the worst thing he'd ever been dragged to.  Needless to say, he got a little lecture about being appreciative when people try to do nice things for you, even when you don't necessarily enjoy it.

And the best part of the night came when we got home...we were just getting settled when Cole came in...he'd gotten off work early and driven all day to try to beat us home...we were really excited to see him and have him home safe...for a few days anyway.
