We had been planning to go to Lagoon early on Saturday...let the kids do the Lagoona Beach thing, spend the afternoon....but between Kyle's scout campout and my tiredness after Logan's birth, we had to wait. We did decide to head out in the evening...
Talia was feeling "mommy needy", so we decided to let the boys go off a little bit on their own, and Cole and I stayed with Talia. So, no pics of the boys, but lots of me and Talia....
Talia insisted I take a picture of her "crying"
Riding the Scrambler
I'd forgotten how much fun it is to ride Tilt-a-whirl with my husband...we got some serious speed going in circles! Of course, after that he couldn't ride anything for the rest of the night....
Talia and I rode the Paratroopers....
The boys were on the Rocket at the time, and Cole walked back and forth checking on all of us...
Talia loved calling down to Daddy on the ground...And I have to admit, riding the Paratroopers with Talia was the scariest ride I have ever had...the whole time, she's saying "let go me, Mommy!", and I couldn't...I was so panicked that she would slide out, because she was sliding all over the seat and LOVING every minute....I think I'll let Cole go on that one with her next time.
Sunday, I sluffed church and drove down to Salt Lake to see my sister and the baby. I got lucky...Heidi was taking a breastfeeding class when I got there, so Adam got the baby out of the nursery for me and I got Logan all to myself for an hour...cuddling my sister's baby was the next best thing to cuddling my own babies...it was like he was mine, just one step removed. Since that's the way she's always felt about my babies, I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. :) Plus, Logan and I had our own little photo shoot....
So Sweet...
When my sister got back, she wasn't feeling very well, and I could tell she was wiped out, so I didn't stay very much longer. I really wanted to hang out with her, and bask in her "new mommy" glow, but I could tell she really needed a nap.
I'm already dying to go back down...hopefully she'll feel good enough on Wednesday for me to take the kids down and introduce them to their new cousin. Kyle is dying to meet him, and Talia has been talking about her new baby cousin almost nonstop. Alec never says much, but always wants to hold a new baby....
Talia and I have a fun thing planned this morning. I can't wait to post about it later!
