We had so much fun carving pumpkins with Cole's family last night. Since our kids were little, we've tried to gather at Cole's aunt Kathy's house, to carve our pumpkins with his cousins and their families. We've missed a few years here and there, but we keep trying.
This year we did a "soup" buffet. I made a chicken tortilla soup that turned out pretty yummy. I also made Halloween colored Whoopie Pies (and yes, Mindy, I am still singing your praises for that wonderful recipe! :)) They got devoured.
It was a lot more relaxed than it has been in the past...most the kids are older and can do most of their own carving. It was really fun to see all the creativity that they had....
Ainsley became my buddy...she was fascinated with my camera, and kept wanting to see the pictures after I took them!

My niece Alyssa
My nephew Hunter
There is only one pic of me, because I was behind the camera, and Cole was carving...there was no way I was letting him touch my camera with his hands covered in pumpkin guts! (I really dislike the insides of pumpkins. I don't touch them if I can avoid it!)
We had a Great time with the family!

I don't know if the seeds were from those particular pumpkins, but thank you!! :)
And hey.. why would I keep that gem a secret? The world deserves happiness.. ;)
Cute pumpkins.. I love that big one that Cole was working on...
So does that mean Cole got all 18-20 pumpkins carved?
I'll bet you would love having a garage that cleared out! lol :) Hey maybe in a month or so, huh!
It's a bummer you don't like to touch the pumpkin gusts. It's so moisturizing on her skin. :)
yeah, I don't like pumpkin guts either. I make the kids do it all now, and thankfully, B & A did a great job this year.
It was great to see you tonight!
You guys definately know how to do Halloween right!!
